The dough recipe came from here and the frosting recipe came from here.
Dough
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup whole milk
2 1/4 teaspoons instant dry yeast
1 egg
Filling
3 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Cream Cheese Frosting
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Microwave the milk and butter until it is warm. Combine the wet ingredients. Add the dry ingredients. Kneed until the dough is a good consistency. Cover and let rise 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Kneed, then transfer to a floured surface. Roll dough into a rectangle. Use softened butter and mix filling ingredients. Spread filling onto dough. Optional: add raisins or nuts. Roll up and cut into sections. Place rolls on greased baking container sheet. Cover and let rise until they double.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Frosting: Blend cream cheese and butter together. Add wet ingredients. Then blend in sugar. Frost cinnamon rolls when cool.
